Just a reminder that we have organized gaming nights on Tuesday and Thursday each week. Occasionally we play on a weekend night and these nights are sometimes posted in the shout box. Tuesday and Thursday game times are almost always announced in either the shout box or in a thread.

We encourage our members and friends to post other desired times on the forums so that we can get together and do a little gaming outside of the regularly scheduled times.

We also encourage our friends to jump in our teamspeak server and join in the sometimes comical but usually bizarre conversations. Remember, passwords are in the friends and members forums. Signing up to join the website doesn’t make you a member and we welcome members from other clans. All we ask is that everyone adhere to our simple rules which can be found under the “About Holyland Clan” and then “Membership Rules” tabs.

Holyland Clan is now hosting Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The decision was made to drop the COD4 server in place on the new BFBC2 server because the COD4 server hasn't gotten much of a workout lately. We will continue to host the COD2 server.

The server ip address is: 8.6.75.78 and instead of waiting for the server list to populate/refresh, it can be found in the server browser by searching for:

Anybody that was a fan of the Band of Brothers miniseries is going to love this. This Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg produced miniseries starts March 14 on HBO. One of the controversies about ModernWarfare2 was the lack of Dedicated Server support. In the upcoming release of Battlefield BC2, dedicated servers are supported BUT only from preselected server rental companies. DICE states that they won't be receiving any profit from server rentals by these companies and that this is being done to maintain the integrity of the game. To me, this sounds like IW's excuse with MW2, claiming they wanted to preserve the game experience as it was intended by the developers. You can read more about this here:  terminalgamer.com/2010/01/16/dice-explains-bad-company-2-server-rental-details/
